Depends on the situation. China doesn’t really care about money, they have enough of it with 1.4B inhabitants and one of the strongest industry on Earth. They care about power.

If at some point Bitcoin has any geopolitical or monetary importance –which I highly doubt would happen, at least in the next 10 years, but that is a separate discussion–, they would be more than glad to destroy it if it serves their best interest to do so.

Btw, what do you think the cENTRAL Communist Party of China thinks of decentralization? I think they don’t like it, and will therefore fight it if needed, whether it’s Bitcoin, or any other decentralized stuff.
