In the market for a new external hard drive with a USC-C connector?
Western Digital has a new option with a sweet perk: the ability to charge your device. The new G-Drive USB-C external storage device provides up to 45 watts of charging capability through the USB-C port, so you can juice up your laptop when you're backing up your files.
It works with the latest Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro devices, but can also be reformatted for Windows PCs, too. Should you need to access your files on a device without a USB-C port, G-Drive USB-C comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable so it will work with traditional USB sockets as well.
"The G-Drive USB-C external desktop drive is plug and play on Mac and is Time Machine software ready so you're able to quickly back up all your files," Western Digital said.
